Dido MacMurdo, a famous theater director, is staging a new translation of an old Polish play. An international cast, including Burne Peter, a rising off-Broadway actor, gathers at a remote rehearsal house surrounded only by a forest. During rehearsals, each time an actor delivers the final line of the play, they disappear. Initially, the actors think it's an innocent prank, but soon they begin to suspect that there's something much more terrifying behind these mysterious disappearances. Will any of the actors find their way back? Is Dido a serial killer?

A contemporary family of 2+2 finds themselves in "strange situations" with the police, which causes the parents to panic about surveillance, and the children to fear abandonment.
